Behind the scenes of Lauren Conrad’s new style guide!
Written by Eric on August 3rd, 2010

We’ve watched her work for the likes of Teen Vogue and People’s Revolution, before progressing onto designing her own collection, and all the while decked out in truly enviable outfits!

We can only be talking about Lauren Conrad who, throughout The Hills and every red carpet event since, has displayed a seriously chic sense of style. So who better than she to release her very own style guide?

Her book, Style, is designed to give you advice on what to wear for any occasion, as well as a few fashion anecdotes from the lady herself and some never-before-seen photographs that show some of her shining moments, and some of her biggest fashion faux-pas. Eek! You’ll also get an exclusive peek into her wardrobe, which is reason enough to be wanting this book.

The book comes out in October, but to keep us entertained until then, Lauren has released a behind the scenes video for the book shoot.

She looks like she’s enjoying the photo shoot in the exact same way we would; dancing around to the music, pulling funny faces and twirling around in the dresses!

‘Lauren Conrad Style’ Cover Revealed

We were thrilled when we first heard back in November that Lauren Conrad would be writing a style book, and we weren’t the only ones that wanted her fashion feedback. Conrad tells PEOPLE exclusively that her new tome was, in fact, inspired by all of her fans. “The first book tour I went on, I had the opportunity to meet thousands and thousands of fans. The majority of the questions were about fashion,” explains Conrad. “It was fun to share all the things I had learned.” So what will you see in Lauren Conrad Style? Besides tons of never-before-seen photos and relatable advice from Conrad herself along with her glam squad, expect “personal stories, live and learn stories,” and yes, even “a couple of high school horror stories.”

While Conrad does find wearing cocktail dresses on the red carpet easier than dressing for everyday life, she devotes chapters to every occasion, even deciphering dress codes like the dreaded business casual. Her must-tip: don’t be afraid to take your pieces to a tailor to achieve your perfect fit. “Most of the things I buy are tailored,” she dishes, emphasizing the importance of finding your best fit instead of just following trends. Lauren Conrad Style will hit bookshelves on October 5, 2010, the same date as her third novel Sugar & Spice. Find out more about Lauren’s books at harperteen.com… Read more/Source
