She’s been playing the field ever since her breakup with Kyle Howard back in May, and Lauren Conrad may have found a new man. The “LA Candy” author was spotted flirting up a storm with “Teen Wolf” hunk Colton Haynes at the HTC Status phone launch on July 20th. According to an insider, “She was into him, and vice versa. They went to a club afterwards,” but a pal of Conrad claimed, “They are friends and have known each other forever.” Meanwhile, and eyewitness saw Lauren and Colton exchange phone numbers before they left, a sure sign that they hit it off.
Lauren Conrad covers the July issue of Lucky mag, and the former reality TV star rocks a blazer, tank, and leather shorts from her own Paper Crown clothing line. Loves it! So what challenges has Conrad faced since trying to make a name for herself as a fashion designer? “It’s easier to launch the line without MTV,” she says. “A lot of people in fashion don’t want to be linked with anything that has to do with reality TV. Showrooms were turning us down.” Of course, Conrad knew exactly what she was signing up for when she got her start on The Hills in 2006, but she insists that she “never wanted to end up in entertainment.” Though she’s “totally aware” that she wouldn’t be where she is today without the show, she says she only did it to kick start her fashion career.
Conrad may have one of the most enviable figures in Hollywood, but she claims she’s “just not a fan of the gym.” In fact, the 25-year-old starlet reveals that she absolutely hates it! “I understand loving the feeling you get after working out — all those endorphins,” she says. “But going there? It’s the worst.” While she may not be enthusiastic about getting her cardio on, she has made a few changes in her diet. “I’m now focusing a lot more on my health,” she continues. “I no longer eat pork, I rarely eat beef, and I don’t like chicken now because my mother keeps four hens as pets. I’m not kidding.” Lookin’ good, LC!
Audrina Patridge’s Audrina on VH1 has anemically low ratings in its’ last two airings, and it only got close to a one rating when it debuted over two weeks ago. It looks like Lauren Conrad‘s former sidekick may have to rely on one thing that could save Audrina but didn’t mention in the premiere, Lauren Conrad. In all safe assumption, Audrina is in danger of getting cancelled, if it doesn’t see an uptick in ratings, despite VH1 stressing that it reached over 1 million combined with original and encore airings at its’ premiere. Factors that caused Audrina to get low numbers are obvious, VH1‘s had weak ratings for quite sometime, and VH1 made episodes available before they even aired showing what little belief VH1 has in Audrina.
Because VH1‘s so weak, E! or MTV would’ve been better homes for Audrina since their ratings are a lot higher, but MTV got juiceheaded & impregnated so MTV passed, and E!’s been Seacrested & Kardashified. Also, fans of Audrina Patridge and avid reality TV watchers in general are disappointed in Audrina’s execution of format and storyline, it’s too run-of-the-mill, too contrived, too Kardashian, and it’s definitely not The Hills. Audrina’s only saviors in stone, for the show and Audrina’s career, is her recent confrontation with Marie Claire Editor Joanna Coles, and Audrina making the Maxim 2011 Hot 100 List once again.
Other saviors highly unlikely are Audrina getting majorly retooled, focusing away from the family and more on Audrinaas a person, Audrina’s friends, plus Audrina’s adventures & endeavors. Plus, Audrina can move over to MTV and replace those near-zero rated scripted attempts MTV currently shoulders on Monday Nights, something MTV could’ve-would’ve-should’ve done with Lauren Conrad but passed on that too.
After being whisked away on a surprise trip to Cabo by boyfriend Jay Cutler, Kristin Cavallari returned to the States with a big, shiny smile on her face…and a bigger, shinier engagement ring on her pretty little finger, according to People. Aww! We love it when MTV alumni find love. And while we wait for Kristin to announce her upcoming wedding date (and leak a photo or two of the reportedly 5.2-carat rock, because come on), we thought we’d check up on the marital status of her fellow “Hills” co-stars. What’s happening in the love lives of our favorite California girls? Check it! Lauren Conrad has been happily coupled with boyfriend Kyle Howard for more than two years—though she’s in no hurry to walk down the aisle.
The star of “The Hills” has repeatedly squashed any rumors that the two are engaged, claiming that she’s way too busy with her professional pursuits as an author, designer and style icon. (Psh. BORING.) Still, our money’s on Lauren as the next one to tie the knot.
After longtime on-again, off-again romance, Audrina Patridge split with beau Corey Bohan for good last month. (Insert your favorite “Don’t mess with The Bohan” joke, here.) Her current status: happily single, although she’s been spotted once or twice in the company of hottie polo player Nic Roldan. Lo Bosworth’s marital status is a bit of a mystery; after calling it quits with boyfriend Scott Hochstadt in December, we’ve barely seen her at all, let alone on the arm of a guy. Chances are, Lo’s just keeping a low profile while she gets over the breakup—and carrying on a torrid affair with a pint of chocolate ice cream.
Lauren Conrad has revealed plans to launch her second website in a month. The former ‘Hills’ star has gone one better than last week when she unveiled thebeautydepartment.com – which gives her fans the chance to master popular hair and make-up trends at home – as the fashion designer is now launching LaurenConrad.com so that she can “fully interact with her fans”.
Has she not heard of twitter? It’s much cheaper! Lauren’s new website will allow her supporters to create profiles and take tips from the television personality on makeup application, healthy eating, party planning and home decoration. She said: ”The site is more than just a content destination, it allows me to fully interact with my fans and share my thoughts, ideas and passions. “This community also provides members with the opportunity to connect with each other through their mutual love for fashion, entertainment and beauty.”
